i have a main site address

eg www.mysite.com

when they go to this, it redirects to another site, lets say
www.mysite2.com

now if www.mysite2.com is not working or is down then it will redirect to
this site, www.mysite3.com, a mirror copy of mysite2

is there a script that can achive this?

or does anyone know how i can do this, have someone alrady made this up if
can you please let me know how to do this.

thanks so much

In general, fault-tolerant fall-over is a feature or load-
balancing products. Microsoft calls their solution

Network Load Balancing Web Server Clusters

and you can find it described at:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/iis/iis6/
proddocs/resguide/iisrg_sca_vbet.asp

Hardware-like and router-like boxes provide another type
of solution. In this approach, the box shows a single IP
address to the Internet, but distributes requests across
several back-room Web servers.

I suppose you could write a server-side script (or even a
browser-side one) that tried connecting to your
www.mysite2.com, and only then redirected Web visitors
there. But this could be time-consuming, even when
www.mysite2.com is up.
