Redirecting Links to Image

J

Jim Dye

I had what started out as a small directory. As it became large, I decided
to move the image files to a subdirectory.

So in Front Page 2000, I dragged and dropped each image, one at a time (as
it would not allow multiple selects) into the subdirector.

For some of the images, it updated the links within the pages. For others
it did not.

If I go to the Reports panel I can see many broken links. I can do a
multiple select there. However, is there any way to say "Look in this
directory for all those files?"

First try Recalculate hyperlinks to see if it will update them. You can
update the rest manually.

If you did the move of the image files with FP while the FP web was
open, FP will fix limits to the files in addition to moving.

FP will not update the links:
* links in script
* if you do th move out side FP (e.g. w/ Windows explorer)
* if you use absolute links, e.g., http://mysite/folder/file
