Redistribution of Trial Editions?

K

Keith Bachman

Hello!

I was wondering if it is at all possible for me to redistribute the
Trial Edition installers for Office 2003 on CD to my clients. Of course
I would redirect them to the office site for registering, but I would
just be providing the actual download installers (so they don't have to
download it themselves - some of them are on dialup and cannot do so
themselves)

I know I can do IE through the IEAK licensing agreement, wondering if
Office can be done somehow as well.

Thanks!

Hi,

per the EULA, in point 1.1 it says that it can be used for evaluation
purposes only and one copy can be installed on a network device. No matter
that it's almost a free product, it has an SKU and has a UID so per the
legal terms, you are not allowed to do this.

I seem to remember seeing *somewhere* an agreement for OEMs and the like
to install the trial edition. Basically, I'm just providing the
installer...they would still have to go register for the trial edition
and get a key, I'm just providing the downloaded installer (as some
can't download a 200MB+ file).
