reducing size of presentation

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel I have tried to reduce size of my presentation for uploading by 1) making all pictures in jpeg at 72dbi 2) compressing in PDF 3) opening with Keynote and then back to power point. My does not decrease in size and is too large to upload. Help

72 dpi doesn't mean anything unless you also tell us the number of
inches. Or better yet, how big are the images in *pixels*?

How many of these pictures are there and how large are the original
images?

Most are around 2 X 3 inches at the largest. About 50 total.
However, I recently downloaded a ppt presentation from online with

As JPGs, those shouldn't be more than 62kb each, probably a LOT less.

How did you get them into the presentation? If you copy/pasted or
dragged them in, that might be the problem. Insert, Picture from file
is the way to go.
