Good day everyone, I am in DESPERATE need of some ones help if at all
possable. I uninstalled my 2007 standard edition with the intention of using
the disk and product key that came with it when I bought it. However, I can
not get my CD/DVD reader to read the disk. I tried to open/explore the drive
to get to the set up program. However, when I try that the disk ejects and I
am told to insert a disk. I bought the disk from our PX, now sure if it
really matters or not but it is the military appreciation edition. I just
assumed that as long as I kept the disk and of course the product key, I
could simpy reenstall. Well obviously that did not work out to well for me. I
am in desperate need of this because of my reports I have to complete for
work and rely on it daily. I also tried to search the microsoft website in an
attempt to see if I could enter and verify that i indeed have a legal copy to
see if I could download it fromt the site. Again no luck. I looked at simply
purchasing another copy but at over $300.00 dollars I simply can not afford
it and they do not have anymore at the PX. PLEASE any help, assistance and
advice anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance,
Grady (e-mail address removed)

Have a look here for starters:

By the way, unless you're exceptionally fond of spam, it's not a good idea to
post your real email address on newsgroups/forums like this.

Possible your drive has gone bad? If so, go to another computer and see if
the disk can be read and if so copy all the files on it onto a USB drive.
Use that copy to plug into your computer and install. If the disk can't be
read, you need to contact Microsoft per Steve Rindsberg's post.

What happened when you tried the borrowed Office Enterprise version. Did the CD\DVD
ROM not read that one either?
