Hi Dean,

There are also numerous web-sites around (including my own at
www.BygSoftware.com) with working examples for download

For general Excel use and a little VBA - QUE's Special Edition Using
Excel 200x is a great starting point. The entire book is also
included on CD.

For VBA, I recommend Wrox Publishing's Excel 200x VBA. Over half of
this book is a reference to the entire Excel object model. You'll
keep referring to it long after you are comfortable with just sitting
in front of your keyboard and coding!

In both cases, to minimize confusion, make sure to get the one that is
specifically for your version of Excel!

Before you spend around $50 (in the U.S.) on any book, check your
local library and take a couple of books home to try out.
