Reformat summary tasks, tasks, subtasks in 2003

When I link tasks or just highlight one and use the tab key to create an
outline or hierarchy, I can't undo it afterwards.

I've followed all the "help" instructions. I've tried grabbing the first
letter of the task name with the double arrow cursor and just pulling it
where I need it. It springs right back to where it started. I've tried
undoing one link at a time, and tried doing them all at once. I've tried
doing the subtasks first, then working upwards, and vice versa. I've tried
using the "unlink" buttons. I've tried every possible order of these things.
It just doesn't work. Any suggestions?

There is a bug in 2003 that causes this problem. It has been fixed but your
software might not be patched.
