Refresh data with open database

I have an Excel 2007 datasheet that is linked to an Access 2007 query. When
I try to refresh the data in Excel when the database is open, I get an error
message telling me "You attempted to open a database that is already open.
Try again when the database is available." I have to close the database to
update the data. Is there a way to refresh the data when the database is
open?
