Regain an activation Office Home & Student

I purchased & installed above app on new laptop; had to return
laptop because of hardware issues. Prior to returning I formatted the hard
drive to remove all installed software so do not want to lose 1 installation
of the 3 allowed
as I intend to buy 2 new desktops in the near future. Is there someone to
contact so the 1 activation does not count?

Its not activation that counts, specifically, but the number of PC's its
installed on at any one time.
If on line activation fails you use phone activation & explain.
So you can uninstall & install as often as you like.

However, this is the 2nd computer on which it will be installed; are you
saying that it is with installation #4 that the explanation is made?

To reiterate; its the number of PC's its installed on, at any one time.
The number of installs is irrelevant - provided the application is only on
three working PC's
