Hi Steve,
Activation is a MS anti-piracy software validation procedure. If it's in play in your copy you'll be prompted to activate.
Registration is a marketing action that comes up as part of activation. It is optional and has no impact on the use, updating etc
of MS Office 2000 (which is now out of its support phase due to its age).
=========
It is Office 2k Premium w/ all the apps (including Front page, and Photodraw)
- it has been in the box since about 1999 or yr 2000- so I am not sure it is
SR-1 version? What is difference between activation and registration? I
have a post card I can mail in to register - so I was refering to
registering.
