Registering The Ultimate Steal without an internet conection?

Hi!
Let's say I want to use Office 2007 on a laptop not connected to the internet.

I am about to buy and download Office from the Ultimate Steal website. I
understand that it's possible to download and transfert the file using a USB
flash drive. But what will happen once I start the installation on the
laptop. Will it ask for a product registration using the internet? Is it
possible to install it offline?

Because I know they provide a Product Key by email. Are you certain this
product key attempts to connect to the internet or could it be just a local
registering process?

Office WILL attempt to activate via internet, so I repeat
"If it can't connect you will have to activate via phone, plan accordingly."
