Registry Block

I have a folder with many PowerPoint 2003 files that I have not accessed in
awhile. However, I never had a problem accessing previously (over 1 year
ago). I now get a message regarding a registry block. In a quick search it
appears this might have something to do with security updates associated with
SP3 (which I have installed). How do I easily remove this blocking function?
