Registry or installation problems

My Outlook was working fine yesterday. I opened it today to register a new
email address. When I got to Email Accounts, it says the operation failed
due to a registry or installation fault.
I have downloaded new info from microsoft which means my 2002 version has to
be re-installed completly. if I do this, will I lose all my files ont he
computer?

Hi Sarah A,

I would create at first a new Outlook 2002 profile:

How to create a new e-mail profile in Outlook 2002?:

You would not lost any information in Outlook if you create a new pofile.

All information were stored in PST files and if you delete a profile, the
PST file will be not deleted.

After you created a new profile, you will need the information to
"reconnect" the old PST file:

"Reconnect your old Outlook data file"
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010771141033.aspx

This site is for Outlook 2003 but it is the same way in Outlook 2002.

Maybe it helps.
