Reinstall Office Standard 2007 Upgrade

This inquiry concerns my wife's Office Standard Edition 2003 purchased when
she started her own business in January 2004. I am thinking about
reinstalling her operating system. What is the procedure for reinstalling
the program? I have the original 2003 Standard Edition disk as well as the
Office 2007 upgrade disk. The software has been installed on several
computers over the years and I know I have reached the maximum number of
permitted installs. Thanks for any advice.

If you have a retail copy of Office 2003 there is a maximum number of
simultaneous installations, not installs. Reinstalling the product on the
same computer, even after reinstalling the operating system, does not count
against you at activation time.

Which product are you actually using, Office 2003 or Office 2007? If you
have upgraded to Office 2007 and have a valid Product Key, then you do not
need to install Office 2003 again. You merely supply the setup program with
proof that you have a product to upgrade. That is done by allowing it to
look at your Office 2003 CD at the appropriate time.

Thanks, Earle. And thank you for anticipating my follow-up question, which
would have been the necessity of installing Office 2003 again. I had in fact
upgraded to Office 2007 in the spring of 2007.
