Reinstall one office program

D

Dave @ FF

This is probably a very simple question compared to most - appologies.

My powerpoint 2003 locks up when I try to open some ppt files. I would like
to reinstall only powerpoint to see if that'll fix the problem. I don't want
to reinstall the other office programs. I put in the MS office disk but the
onscreen directions are unclear on how to only reinstall one of the office
programs. I am worried about reinstalling all of them.

How do I reinstall just one of the office programs? Thanks for any help.

Hi Dave,

Unless you have a standalone copy of MS Office Powerpoint you'd be using a repair/reinstall of the MS Office product from Add/Remove
Programs in the Windows control panel.

There are a number of core files that are common to all of the applications within Office, the apps aren't totally independent of
each other.

If it's only certain Powerpoint presentation files you may want to use the link below to also post the question to the Powerpoint
discussion group and explain what is happening (i.e. how do you open the files are there any error messages, etc).
