Reinstalled Office 2007, how to change deliver to location for ema

Reformatted computer and reinstalled Office 2007.

Created email account and then imported previous pst folders. How do I
change the default deliver to location for email account to go to default
Personal Folder?

Never import from a PST. INstead, just configure your mail profile to use it.

Tools>Account Settings>Data Files tab. Select the PST you want to be your
delivery location, then click Set as Default. Stop and restart Outlook.

It doesn't work. When I go back into the Email Account Settings, the
'delivers new e-mail messages to the following location' doesn't change and
new mail still goes to the original pst inbox.

If you close Outlook completely (and make sure it's closed by opening Task
manager and making sure there is no process named OUTLOOK.EXE), then open the
Mail applet in Control Pane, and clicking the Data Files button, can you
change it then?
