Reinstalling Access 2002

I am trying to install Access 2002 on a new computer. I
put the CD-ROM in, put the key in, and get the message
that there is no "qualifying product" on the CD.

So I go through all the hassle of the MS.com support site
and finally get to submit my question to the "expert".
Only problem is, I need the Product ID! How do you find
it? YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE PROGRAM ALREADY INSTALLED! Is it
me, or does this make no sense? The farther I go the
behinder I get.

Help!

You probably have the Upgrade version of Access rather than the standalone
version. If that's the case, you'll need the CD of a previous version to
insert when 2002 asks for a product to qualify.

To the best of my knowledge "Qualifying Product" indicates you are trying to
install an *UpGrade* edition. You have to have a qualifying product
previously installed on your computer to install the upgrade.

I've been wrong before.

Right you are. Amazing how humans are still superior to
computers in some respects (not me, you guys). Thanks.
