Reinstalling Office and Teacher 2003

I had to buy a new PC. Office Suite 2003 (Student) was pre-installed on my
old laptop. I purchased a license direct from MS and converted the trial
version. How do I get the software downloaded so I can install it on my new
laptop?

Generally speaking:
• If it is a retail-box copy, then the software is licensed for
installation on one primary computer and one portable computer both
owned by you.
• If it is a preinstalled (OEM) copy that comes with a new computer,
then the software is licensed for installation only on the computer that
the software came with, and cannot be transferred to or installed on any
other computer.

To see how many computers your particular copy of Office 2003 is legally
licensed for installation on, read Section 2 of your End User License
Agreement, which you can access by starting Word 2003, then clicking on
Help | Microsoft Word Help | Contents tab | click on the + next to
"Microsoft Word Help" to expand the topic, and select "End User License
Agreement" from the list of topics.

As a reminder, the End User License Agreement for Office 2003 Students &
Teachers Edition says: "... The license granted herein for use of the
Software is a personal learning license intended only for noncommercial
purposes by Qualified Educational Users and members of the same
household as the Qualified Educational User... No one may use this
Software for any commercial purpose or in any way related to the
operation of any business enterprise or revenue-generating activities..."

....and, as to the OP's question as to where to "download" the
software....it's not likely it's available. He'd have to purchase the
software if he could find it, wouldn't he?

I'm sorry you missed my need/point.

I'm trying to find a way to get the software. My license is valid (it was
sold to us over the phone directly by MS). However, the software was
pre-installed on the old laptop as an eval/trial version. It was not
pre-installed as a licensed copy. We had to pay for that license when the
trial ended so the software was OEM/pre-installed but the license was not.
We could have just as easily bought it retail but MS said it was the same and
we did it over the phone (I still have the receipt with the license key).

Now that I have a new laptop and am migrating all my data to it, I need to
get my hands on the software so I can install it and use my license. How do
I get the software? There has to be an archived download somewhere? All I
can find is some Office SP2 and add in downloads.

Thanks.
