reject tasks in PWA - how can i remove Task without them still being visble?

Hello,

I have a little Problem - we just had a new Project
release in the company - and everything runs well -
besides that there has been a mstake and that one of the
managers has been assigned to 19 Tasks he is not supposed
to see... i rejected the tasks in PWA using his ID - and
approved it too - thus he does not see them anymor e- but
whenever a change to one of thouse 19 tasks is made he
sees them again!
thus my question:
IS there a way to remove him from the tasks - without the
tasks been still visible as deleted or changed tasks in
his PWA?

Thank you for your help

Open the project in question and then select the tasks to which the resource
has been mistakenly assigned. Click the Assign Resources button on the
Standard toolbar. In the Assign Resources dialog, select the name of the
resource and click the Remove button to remove him from the selected tasks.
Click the Close button to close the dialog, then click Collaborate -
Publish - New and Changed Assignments. Hope this helps.

Hi Dalee - thank you for your Help... i did this before -
but what happened then was that the task was still visible
at the resources PWA - even though he was not assigned to
it!!! i don't want that to happen to this certain manager -
cause then he would have 19 crossed out tasks in his PWA
view!!! are you sure that even if he has booked on thouse
tasks i can still just remove it??? (sadly he booked 0
hours for all the tasks before telling me that i falsly
assigned them to him... he is responsible for our
department thus i don't want to mess with his account!!!

HI Dale,

what dale wrote is not entirely true - just removing the
resource from the task will still cause the resource to
see this task loging on to his PWA - then even worse as
crossed out tasks... if you do not want that then you will
have to reject the tasks first using the resoures id in
PWA and then you accept this rejection - now you can
remove the task the way dale has suggested - but i am not
sure if this also will work if there are already actuals
booked from this resource to the task as it seems to be in
your situation...

good luck

David
