Rejected task updates do not get cleaned up in 2007--out of sycn

Hi,

I've encounter the following in PWA 2007.

A task that is submitted to the project manager gets rejected (e.g., 7 hours
on Monday)

The team member sees that it is rejects it in My Tasks.

If the team member resubmits the rejected task as is (ie., 7 hours on
Monday), the PM does not get receive anything in Task Update page.

If the team member resubmits the rejected task with more edits (ie., keeps
the rejected entries as is--7 hours on Monday ), and adds a few hours for the
rest of the week, then the PM sees in red the few hours entered for the rest
of the week. However, he also sees the original entries (ie., 7 hours on
Monday), but they are shown in "black" (not red)!


If the PM approves as is (with both black and red entries), the project
updates those that are red which is good. But, after having the task
approved by the PM, the TM's My Task page displays the same way it was
submitted (ie., with the original hours [7 hours on Monday] that were
originally rejected in addition to the few hours entered for the rest of the
week that just got approved). We seem to be out of sync!


Is this normal? or a bug?

Did you notice this behavior with SP1 and/or Infrastructure Update?

Unfortunetly, I did not test it prior to the current infrastructure Update
that we are currently using.
