Rejected Tasks from Supervisor not disappearing

If a user add's themself to a task on a project the request gets sent to the
supervisor. if the supervisor then rejects the task, the task is still
visible in the users Timesheet and they can book to it but it does not get
updated into the Project Plan. should this be so??

If the self-assigned task request is rejected by the project manager, then
the resource should select the task on his/her timesheet and click the Hide
button. Hope this helps.
