Rejecting a Reassignment Request

If a task is reassigned by a team member, and this request is rejected, then
the task appears with a red 'X' in the indicators column, and the task still
has the strike-through formatting on it.

It seems that at this point, the Team Member can not do anything with the
task unless the PM republishes. Is this correct?

solved: the rejected task assignment was not editable because the project
file was open. As soon as I closed it then the strike-through disappeared
and editing was possible.
