Relative Planning

I am planning a project where the start time is not fixed
yet. I therefore will plan the project relative, using
time from starting point on the timescale as well as text
on milestones.

I know I can define timescale to show time from start,
but whenever I zoom out or in, it is changed back to
actual time. For milestones, I do not see any
possibilites for setting relative time instead of date.

All projects must have a start date. Once you've set that, if you build your
plan correctly, all other dates on all other tasks will calculate based on
the start date. When you know what your actual start date is going to be,
then all you have to do is select the Project menu from the menu bar and
select Project Information. Then change the start date, and all of the tasks
in the project will shift to reflect the new start date. Relative date
planning is not an explicit option, it's the way the system is designed to
work at all times until you start putting hard dates (constraints) into your
plan.
