Remaining work is read only in Timesheet

I have project server 2007 with IU installed.
In My Timesheet, I have the column "Remaining work". I would like that the
resources only fill the timesheet and than import their timesheets in "My
Task". My problem is that the "Remaining work" column in My Timesheet is read
only ! So the resources must go to "My Task" to adjust the remaining work
(and I don't want to do this).
How can I make this "Remaining work" in My Timesheet Read/Write ?

Hi alain,

you need to force users to import the timesheet. This is controlled in the
task display and options under Server settings. The option is called 'time
entry by timesheet only'.

I know how to import timesheet, this is not the issue. My issue is that the
field "Remaing work" in the timesheet is read only ! It is not possible to
adjust it. How to make this Read/Write in "My Timesheet".

I was not explaining how to import, but how to change settings under tasks
option in server settings. This setting gets your remaining work field
editable.
