Remaining worlk in task usage view

Hi,
when looking at the 'remaining work' of a resource which is assigned to
more then one project, the number is different if all his projects are open
or not.
That is the way it should be? can't i know the remaining work of a resource
unless i open all his projects?

Remaining work is associated with each assigned task. Maybe you need
to view the "Resource Usage" view and I think the answer is "yes."

When you first open Project, there's a option to "Load summary resource
assignments". If you check that box, you'll see summary information from
other projects for the resources which are on the open project. The other
projects don't need to be open.
Is that what you're looking for?
