I resently purchased a compaq laptop computer evo n1020v using windows xp and I have to manually type in my password to receive my e-mail. Yes, I have check the "remember my password" button. I have contacted my internet provider and have gone through the process of trying to eliminate the matter, but to no avail.
I have deleted my e-mail account and reinstated it and I have established new e-mail accouts. The same thing occurs

What do I do?????

A search through the newsgroups would show this has been asked a lot
already. Rather than me going through the motions, I'll indicate how
you can do them.

- Go to http://support.microsoft.com/.
- Advanced search.
- Search on "remember password" (all words) for "Outlook <version>" (you
didn't mention your version so pick the appropriate one).
- There should be a KB article about Outlook not remembering password
when using POP3. It has you change permissions on registry keys and
delete some of them, and then restart Outlook to rebuild the security
permissions on those registry keys.
