Reminder closes my 2003 outlook

Within 10 seconds of opening outlook, the reminders pop up. By the time it
gets to 24 reminders, outlook stops working.

The error message just says Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working. A
problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program
and notifiy you if a solution is available.

It did open outlook but the reminders still opened and stopped outlook.

Any other suggestions, please.

I would open Outlook using the ".../safe" switch. This will start Outlook
without extensions, Reading Pane, or toolbar customization.

This should allow you to open Outlook without being pelted with the
reminders. However, it will not fix the underlying problem. It could be
caused by a corrupt meeting that is being hit on the 24th reminder.

Has it been a while since you opened this profile? I ask because 24
reminders is alot to get hit with in a day or two.

Thank you. Can you send me directions on how to do the safe switch please or
point me in the right direction.

I have been trying to do this for months and finally got annoyed this
evening.

It is the same as the ".../cleanreminders" switch.

Using Command lines:

To use switches, at the Start menu, Run command type:
Outlook /safe

Occasionally you'll need to use the full path to Outlook, so the command
line looks like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /safe

Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation
marks (") and are case sensitive.
You'll need the full path if you create desktop shortcuts.

The page mentioned earlier can guide you too:
Command-line switches:

I would try opening Outlook using the CleanReminders switch.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /cleanreminders
