Reminder Messages Question

Is it possible to have a reminder pop up in a prominent
window when I have minimized the Outlook window? Or,
without even opening Outlook?

My objective is to be reminded of appointments, etc.
without deliberately open up the Outlook window, or my
email...or better yet without launching Outlook (I mean
what good is a reminder system if you need to remember to
check the application for reminders!?). Can this be done
with Windows Messenger (instead of email)?

You could try using the Task facility in Outlook. This will give you the
pop-up reminders you need. You will need to have Outlook running for this to
work, but the reminder windows will come to the front.

I don't know of any other Calendar programs out there, (except the one in
Yahoo mail) but I would imagine any reminder service you use would have to
be running for you to get your messages.

Works for me all the time. I use OL 2002, but you decided we didn't need to
know what version you run, so my settings may not be found where yours are.

I clicked Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>Reminder Options and checked
the "Display the Reminder" box.
