Reminders not working and days with apponitments not showing in Bo

Outlook 2000 on a Windows 200 Pro pc, Outlook setup as a POP3 system. Mail
sends and receive fine.

Problem appears when you program in a meeting or Appointment into the
Calender You set the time of day etc, select weather the allocated tine is
Busy etc. and set the reminder tick box to remind you 15 minutes beforehand.
The allocated time arrives and no reminder is set.

The other thing that happens with the Calender is that the days with
appointments will show in bold when you firs enter the Calender, but if you
go to another folder then return to the calender the bold indercaters
disapears and will not return until you restart Outlook.

have run the /cleanreminder switch, have imported the pst into a new PST
file. neither have made any difference. Outlook works fine otherwise.

Any ideas welcome
