This is what I have done
1. Created an Excel Worksheet (This is my source which I
update weekly)
2. Created a table (Excel worksheet) in Powerpoint (this
is my destination.
3. Copied the Excel table and used "Edit-> Paste Special->
Paste Links" to paste and link the Excel detination
worksheet to the source.
4. I usually double click on the table to update it for
new data. (i.e. after I insert new data to the source
Excel worksheet)
This is what happens
1. If the Excel workbook is open when I open the Power
point and double click then the data gets updated.
2. However if the Excel workbook is not open the double
click in Power point gives old data. Sometimes it gives
data that mostly a week old and sometimes two weeks old.
How do I stop this from happening. I want the table in
powerpoint to take the latest data and stick with it
irrespective of the source workbook being open.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
