Removal of a blank page at the end of a document

i created a table in which the last row overran onto page 15. Even after
deleting that row, and reaching the end of the document (which continues to
remain stubbornly on page 15) that page continues to appear as a blank page,
messing up my "page X of Y" numbering system, since the footer continues to
read "Page X of 15" instead of Page X of 14.
