remove 1 computer from registration to add new one to key

Hi, I have Office 2003 and I'm guessing it will not allow me to install it
onto an additional computer because maybe I've used up all off my key
assignments? It's not allowing me to enter the Key(2003) code after I remove
1997 from this thing. Is there any way I can "unregister" a couple of the
computers using my key that are now obsolete? Thanks,and have a great day!!

It wont even let you install it?

This is not related to licensing.

Typically when you have a product on too many machines you may not be able
to "activate" it. But during the installation process there is no kind of
registration limit check.

What happens when you try to install it?

How so? Like you can't type? You get an error? program crashes?
