remove embeded wav sounds

I received a presentation that has embeded wav sounds in some effects
(effect options/enhancements). I want to remove them in order to decrease
the file size. How can I do that?

Save the file as a Web Page. That will create a folder of files, plus a file
called "yourfilename.htm". Delete all WAV files in the folder. Then open
PowerPoint and open yourfilename.htm. Select each of the animations and go to
the Effect Options and set the sound file to "no sound". Save the presentation
as .PPT and the file size will be reduced and the WAV files will be gone.
