Remove last 10 characters

I pull a report that lists the item description and the 10 digit UPC all in
the same cell with the UPC listed at the end. Is there a formula that could
cut off the last 10 characters in each cell?

=LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-10)

if you have might have leading or trailing spaces

=LEFT(TRIM(A1),LEN(TRIM(A1))-10)
