Remove Office 2000 (French) so as to install Office 2000 (English)

I have a problem. One of my users would like me to uninstall the French
version Office 2000 and then install the English version. However, when I do
the "switch", the Office Shortcut bar and Language setting still comes up with
the French info. What is the recommended process of completely clearing out
Office 2000 (French) and replace it with Office 2000 (English), without doing
a reinstall of Windows?
