remove office 2003 download expired, causing computer problems

In Nov.05 I downloaded office 2003 on a trail basis. I let it expire, I
decided I did not want to purchase. Tried to remove it and thought it was
removed, but when I tried to install my old office 97 program from CD I had
problems and corrupts the program. Now I look in ADD/Remove and 2003 still
shows up there and has security patche updates, most current being in April.
Again I tried to remove and unable to do so. I have been having a lot of
problems with computer and I believe it is because of this download.

If uninstalling from add/remove programs go to program files folder in your
hard drive (if you havnt been in here before these files will be hidden, it
should ask you if u want to show the files or not. if it doesnt go to tools
-> folder options -> view and click on show hidden files and folders) then
jst delete the folder where office is intalled.
