Remove "On Behalf Of" When Sending Email from Non-Primary Account

I saw several postings regarding this issue however the solutions don't seem
to work for me!

I have a Win2003 SBS server access by both MS Outlook 2000 & MS Outlook 2003
clients. A few users access shared mailboxes. When they reply to an email
that was sent to a shared mailbox the reply is from the user "on behalf of"
the shared mailbox.

The user was added to Exchange General \ Delivery Options \Send on behalf -
Grant Permission To AS WELL AS added to Exchange Advanced \ Mailbox Rights.

What other changes do I need to make in order for the replies to NOT show
"on behalf of" but come directly from the shared mailbox!?!

Thanks in advance!!

The sender must have "Send As" rights, not "Send of Behalf Of"

A ha!!

'The sender must have "Send As" rights, not "Send of Behalf Of"'

Pray tell, where might I find this sneaky little setting?!!? Or is that the
same thing as 'Delegate Access' as outlined in the link from Chris?!

Thanks guys!!!!!!! This has been irking me for AGES!

I found it (solution below) & it works PERFECTLY!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

Granting 'Send As' rights to an Exchange 2003 user

1. Run Active Directory Users and Computers and select the View menu and
select Advanced Features.

2. Select the User object that will be Send on Behalf of(i.e. BlogDirector).

3. Right-click the object and select Properties.

4. Under Security Tab -> Click Advanced, click Add and type the username
(i.e. joe.blog) that you want to grant Send As permissions to.

5. Click Check Names to make sure you have the name right and then click OK.

6. In the Permission Entry dialog, select "This object only" in the "Apply
to" dropdown, and then check "Allow" under "Send As" in the Permissions list.
Make sure no other permissions are being explicitly granted.

7. Click OK to all to close the dialogs boxes.
