Remove protection from forms

Something that was easy in Office 2003 MS manage to hide it in Office 2007.
How can one unprotect a form, designed by oneself in Office 2003, in Word
2007. I really regret having updated MS Office. The new version us
unfriendly, cumbersome and altogether useless.

Some of the advanced functionality was moved to a tab named Developer which
is turned off by default. To display it, click the Microsoft Office Button,
click Word Options, and in the Popular section, select Show Developer tab in
the Ribbon. Note that this will turn on the view of the Developer tab in all
of the Office 2007 applications.

I already did that but I couldn´t remove the protection and thus I could not
edit the form I had designed a few months ago.

Can you provide more details on "couldn't remove the protection"? Did you
encounter an error message when you clicked Protect Document? Also note
depending on the edition of Office you have installed you may need to click
Protect Document and then click "Restrict Formatting and Editing". (I think
that's the name of the command - only on memory.)

I clicked the protect document and I found "Unrestricted Access" checked. I
clicked on it but it didn't changed and the document stayed protected. I
tried clicking the other options but none worked.

If you are seeing additional commands when you click Protect Document then
you have an Office suite that comes with Information Rights Management
(IRM). You need to click "Restrict Formatting and Editing" to open the task
pane as previously noted. the "Unrestricted Access" command is for IRM.
