Remove publish status?

C

Curtis Browne

Couldn't think of a clear subject for this one. Here's the situation:

I save a .mpp from Project Server to a local .mpp on my desktop. I want
this to be a standard, local project plan. I change the collaboration option
to None. When I look at the resource sheet I have the indicator that looks
like an envelope and says "Infornmation for this resource has changed.
Select Publish New and Changed Assignments to update the resource."

How can I clear this indicator?

Anything else I can or need to do in order to remove things related to the
prior server status?

Thanks for any help here.

Go to a resource usage view. Insert column Update Needed - Change all fields
to No. Go to Tools - Options - Workgroup - change first field "Default
Workgroup messages" to None.

Save these options in a template so you won't have the problem with local
projects again.

Hi Brekada,

I was interested to try this out and so I did. It doesn't seem like you can
update the field "Update Needed". Have you successfully accomplished this
method before? If so, please let us know what else needs to be done to get
this to work.

Thanks!
