Remove tasks from resources simultaneously

I’m using PS 2003. I am the PM and have a project that I want to cancel. But
there are a few tasks that are assigned to resources. How do I remove the
task from the resources task list simultaneously?

I have tried –
- To un-assign tasks but that leaves the resource a task to hide all the
tasks from the list that I have unassigned.
- Republish and collaborate the project

Any ideas?

Hi,

To remove all resources from all tasks, in the Gantt Chart delete the
contents of the Resource Names column

Change the booking type to "Proposed" first and re-publish. This will
remove all the assignments from the resources timesheet.

After you verified the tasks have been removed from the resource's
timesheets you can delete the assignments and resources if you want and
re-publish the plan.

Rod:

This is not a good idea when using Server. It leaves behind orphaned
assignments. These need to be closed out in one manner or another before
deleting the resources.
