remove watermark

I have a lengthy word 2003 document with sections. I have tried to remove the
watermark (format|background|watermark|none), but it only disappears from
initial sections, not all sections. How can i remove it from all sections?

View | Header and Footer. Use the Show Next button on the Header and Footer
toolbar to skip to the section where the watermark is displayed. Select the
watermark and press Delete.
