Removing watermarks form Word2003

edI have been through I think all the posted problems and answers and I seem
to a have a new manifestation of a watermark (picture) that refuses to
disappear!
I inserted a watermark and resection the document. Some how the watermark
down sized itself so is actually of no benefit. I have tried the "remove
watermark" approach in format background but it doesn't actually see it? So
then the no fill approach and searched headers and footers for any marks or
anchors, zilch, nada, nothing. I found some strange achors possibly related
to drawings in the document so removed these. Again nothing the watermark is
a persistant little bugger.

I tried to cut and paste the words form the doc. to a new doc but it picks
up the watermark so I tried remove aaaaggggainnnn in the new doc but exactly
the same problem.
In frustratuion I removed all drawings in the doc but again nothing. I cant
select the watermark in any way!!

Anyone any ideas or should I just junk all the work?

Watermarks are just pictures, text boxes, or WordArt anchored to a header
paragraph. Activate the header/footer view, for example by clicking View |
Header and Footer. You should now be able to select and delete the
watermark.

That does help. Text boundaries are useful too.
