Removed an exchange server so lost all contact inbox and calendar

I had stopped remote connection to an exchange server and connected to a POP account. I had left the old exchange server account listed but the constant errors flashing when the server was not found eventually prompted me to "remove" the account." Upon removal all my data, inbox, contacts etc was gone. IS there any way to retrieve my data???? The outlook now says that I have no data file.

Any thoughts?

Connect to the Exchange server again and resync.
