Removing a resource from a task with actuals

Hi,

I have an admin project in which I have user A assigned to several admin
tasks I am controlling. I want to remove user A from some of those tasks
using the Assign Resources dialog box. When I select the user and click the
delete button I the "Cannot delete or reassign tasks or assingments with
protected actuals" message shows up.

Can someone let me know how to proceed?

It sounds like you are using an administrative project in an environment
where you are also using Managed Time Periods. Given this fact, the only
way to remove the resource in question is for your Project Server
administrator to turn off Managed Time Periods temporarily. Hope this
helps.
