OS = Windows XP Pro SP2
Mail = Outlook 2000 SP2
Problem. After a new user is setup and using outlook 2000, we noticed the
user was opening an additional mailbox, and I am unable to remove this
mailbox from the profile.
Example. User1 has access to user2 mailbox via through tools, services,
properties, open additional mailbox user2 mailbox was deleted after he left
the university. when trying to remove user2 mailbox from user1 outlook i am
running into this small problem,
User2 mailbox is still listed there. but is unaccessable. when going to
tools/services/exchange properties/open additional mailbox user2 is not
listed there
when I readd the user into additional mailboxes. I then see 2 copys of user2
mailbox listed on user1 profile. when I remove the one I added. then there
is only 1 copy of user2 mailbox listed on user1 profile.
I have already remove User1 profile. and recreated it. problem is still
there.
I have remove user1 profile. and deleted all files under "documents and
settings/user1/application data/microsoft/outlook and from Documents and
settings/local settings/application data/microsoft/outlook "leaving only the
user1.PST file. and User1 still has User2 listed under his profile.
When I right click on User2 mailbox. and say disconnect this mailbox. i get
a error saying this must be done under tools/services/exchange
properties/open additional mailbox.
User2 is not listed under Open additional Mailboxes. so how does one remove
mailbox from a problem in this case.
