Removing an envelope attached to a document

Liz Hopkins

I had to correct a letter for a mail merge, but the
envelopes are fine, so I JUST need to reprint the
letter. I can't get it to print just the letter, and I
can't remove the wretched envelope.

That thing is IRREVOCABLY WELDED to my document. I
searched Word's help file (which was, unsurprisingly,
totally unhelpful). I searched the Newsgroup. There is
NOTHING about how to do this! Am I the first person EVER
to have this problem?

I am, unfortunately, using Microsoft's:
Word 2003
and
Windows XP

Found it by SHEER LUCK. Had to change the view. It
defaulted me into print layout, where I couldn't get in
to delete the "envelope section"
A tip to MS: A little information on this would be
helpful. I've been using your software for almost 10
years and this clever little user-hostile trick threw
me!

You should be able to print just the letter by printing the appropriate
section. See "Print specific pages and sections" in the "Print a document"
Help topic.
