Removing/Changing Annotations in Document Imaging

J

Jack

I have scanned a form, added some Text Boxes to it and saved it including
the text boxes Now I would like to remove one of text boxes completely and
change the text in another. Is there a way to do this without rescanning
the form and setting up the text boxed all over again?

And, is there a way to change the predermined size of the text box. Seldom
do I want a box that is not a certain size and that size is nowhere near the
predetermined one.

Thank you very much.

Reopen the file in Imaging

Thank you very much, Bob.

I opened the file in Document Imaging but could not find a way to
delete a text box nor change the text in any of them. What am I
missing?

Thanks again.

I'm able to reopen the document, click a text box to select it and
delete it or change the text in the text box.

How is the file saved? Is it a *.tif or *.mdi file or another file
type?

Hello again and thank you very much, Beth.

The file is saved as an .mdi file.

I just noticed the 'Make annotations permanent when document is saved' was
checked under tools/options. I unchecked it, added a box, saved the file,
reopened it and was able to change and deleted the box. My bad. Guess I
will just have to redo the whole thing and chalk it up to the tuition for
the learning experience.

Thanks again for your help.

Ah, not a text box any more. Well you could make a "new text box" over
the one you want erased. Make it just big enough to cover the old spot,
put in one space character, and then make it permanent. Effective way of
"erasing" part of an image.

Thanks, Bob.

I found out what happened -- my error. Your suggestion for using a
permanent text box as a blanking tool will have a use and I appreciate it.

Thanks again.

Good suggestion, Bob. My thoughts exactly. :)

Sometimes you just gotta think outside and around the text box. <grin>
