Removing clipart background

I would like to remove the white background from downloaded clipart so that I
do not have a white box surrounding my clipart when I move it onto a dark
coloured background.

I would like to remove the white background from downloaded clipart so that I
do not have a white box surrounding my clipart when I move it onto a dark
coloured background.

Click to select the clipart in the document.

- If you have Word 2003 or earlier, the Picture toolbar appears. Click
the Set Transparent Color button (second to last), then click in the
white area of the clipart.

- If you have Word 2007, the Picture Tools ribbon appears. Click the
Recolor button at the left end, and choose Set Transparent Color from
the bottom of the dropdown gallery. Then click in the white area of
the clipart.
