Version: 2008 Email Client: imap I'm a new Mac user and using Entourage 2008 for email. When i delete emails from my inbox they are NOT remove from view. Instead they remain in view but with a line through them. Is there a way to remove deleted emails from view so they don't visually clog up my inbox? My emails run through an IMAP account. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not.

thanks

You can do this one of two ways:

1. Go to Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> Mail & News Preferences
--> Read. UNcheck the option "Hide IMAP messages marked for deletion".

2. Go to Tools --> Accounts and double-click your IMAP account to edit
it. Under the Advanced tab select "Move messages to the Deleted Items
folder".

Hope this helps!

Many thanks. Spent an hour plus trying not to be a frustrated long-time PC user grumbling about Macs. Now i can go back to enjoying it. Much appreciated.
