removing form/item in new word

First of: I really hate the new menu in office 2007!

I want to remove a combox in an office doc. How do I do that?
Delete does not work

Where is there an option to add a button?

I guess this is a protected document? To edit such documents in Word
2007, you should first display the Developer tab: Click the Office
button, and then click Word Options. In the Popular category, select
"Show Developer tab in the Ribbon" and click OK.

If necessary, click Protect Document to show the Restrict Formatting and
Editing pane. Click Stop Protection.

You should now be able to delete items in the document.

And to add buttons, use the Controls group (on the Developer tab).
